Look for members of FLT's Ambassador Patrol in their distinctive vests offering information and assistance along The Legacy Trail.  In addition to those tasks an important part of the ambassador's role is providing monthly feedback on the number of users observed while on patrol.  Those reports indicate The Legacy Trail hosted nearly 120,000 visitors  last year.  Click here for more details

In just two years seventy volunteers have been ‘vested' as part of the Legacy Trail Ambassador Patrol.  These 12 new Ambassadors completed their training October 28, 2010.

The Ambassador Patrol through it's partnership with the Sheriff's Office and the County Parks & Recreation department strives to enhance the total experience for all trail users and guests while helping to safeguard the community's considerable investment in this unique recreational facility.  If you wish to join us in offering personal outreach to all trail users via trail patrolling, staffing Hospitality & Information Tents or special events keep an eye on this space for scheduling information about the Spring 2011 orientation.  The orientation is three hours long and includes such topics as safety and security, very basic bike repairs, how to handle trails users in need of physical assistance and trail reporting procedures.
